To provide the beef sector with a rigorous and accessible tool that not only measures its carbon footprint, but also helps users interpret the results, monitor their evolution over time and use them as a basis for improving the sustainability of their farm or industrial facility.

Based on scientific criteria and aligned with official frameworks, the application transforms emissions data into useful information for management and decision-making, helping the sector make gradual, evidence-based progress towards the goal of climate neutrality by 2050.

LIFE CYCLE ASSESSMENT (LCA)

The tool is based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) approach, the reference methodology for rigorously evaluating the environmental impacts of production systems.

LCA incorporates the different stages of the system—including feed and forage production, energy use, manure management, transport and processing—using clear methodological rules that make it possible to obtain comparable, reproducible and verifiable results.

DATA CONNECTION VIA API

To make the tool easier to use and improve data quality, the application can connect, via an API (Application Programming Interface), to the enterprise resource planning systems (ERPs) used by farms and meat-processing companies.

This integration enables the automatic collection of production and energy data, reducing the administrative burden, preventing manual data-entry errors and ensuring faster, more accurate and consistent calculations over time.

Measure and understand your on-farm emissions

Designed for beef cattle farms that want to measure and improve their carbon footprint using an accessible and reliable system.

Includes:

  • Suckler systems (cow–calf) and beef fattening farms.
  • Emission sources including enteric fermentation, feed, manure, energy and transport, among others.
  • Standard data such as the number of animals, entry and exit weights, feed and forage consumption, manure management, energy and diesel consumption, water use and associated agricultural land. Data can be entered annually or by batch.

What you receive:

  • A total carbon footprint report, broken down by emission source.
  • Results per unit of product, including live weight and carcass weight, and per unit of land.
  • Comparisons with sector benchmarks or your own historical data.

Industry

Calculate emissions in slaughterhouses and cutting plants

Designed to address the scale and complexity of meat processing, including energy use, production processes and waste management, using a methodology consistent with the livestock production stage.

Includes:

  • Energy consumption, including electricity, gas, refrigeration and water, as well as production processes and the management of waste and by-products.
  • A detailed technical questionnaire covering inputs and outputs such as energy, water, materials, waste, by-products and emissions to water.
  • Relevant stages of the value chain, including transport, refrigeration, processing, cutting, packaging and other forms of consumption.
